Oracle Sun hails from Italy and was formed in 2002, by Frank Andiver (one of the most important persons in Italian metal playing with Labyrinth, Wonderland, Shadows of Steel etc.) on drums, Emy Manuguerra (Angel Grace) on guitar, Val Shieldon (Sigma) on vocals, Fabrizio Marnik (Seven Gates) on keyboards, and Alessandro Cola (Mandragora Scream, Shining Fury) on bass.

This is their debut album and a decent one, but it needs time... Actually I was a little disappointed with this album but after maybe 6 to 7 spins in my CD-player it began to grow on me. When I listen to “Deep Inside” several bands comes to mind. To me they sounds like a mix of Angra, Labyrinth, Dream Theater and Stratovarius.

They are all very talented musicians no doubt about that! However this album never really ignites. Except for “Changes”, “New Sunrise”, “Stone Angel” and the fantastic instrumental track “Riding the Sun”, the songs only reaches the level “Decent”.

“Deep Inside” comes with a crystal clear production, and if you are into Progressive Power Metal maybe you should at least check this album out.
