5 years ago I had my first encounter with Swedish band NARNIA.
I heard a few songs with them that did nothing to me, so I had mixed
feelings when I received this album. But now I can say that I’m
positively surprised.
This
is actually very good. The music is very Melodic Metal and the memorable
effect is high. NARNIA
was formed
in 1996 by Christian Rivel and Carl Johan Grimmark and
has released four studio albums.
In
2004 they released “At short notice – Live in Germany" on DVD
and finally the band decided to release the soundtrack of the DVD on CD.
This
album is a journey through the first 4 albums… a “best of”, Live
album. NARNIA
delivers
crushing guitar riffs that will make you stand up and take notice
and the production are good. The music tracks were re-edited and
re-mastered for the audio CD, but I have one little complain; the
reaction by the audience could have been a little louder in the mix.
If
you are a fan of NARNIA you
can’t afford to miss this album.
