“Don’t judge a book by its cover”, or so they say….Well, I couldn’t help it! :)

My initiative intuition was: “This looks like a raw modern kind of Hard Rock” – And that’s exactly what it is!!

So, I guess the cover reveals a lot about this American outfit called Joker Five Speed!

They haven’t created anything spectacular here on this Perris release but it’s nice to hear them praise their gods through this “new sound”. Their heroes include KISS (in particular!!), MOTORHEAD, RAMONES and the more rock’n’rollin’ bands in general!

This is 1-2-3-4 ready, set, GO and no lookin’ back!

Their sound is raw and true to their roots but still pretty contemporary, which serves as a good potential to get acknowledged in the media.

Most importantly, they keep it melodic all the way and the songs actually move me!

On the downside, I must admit that the varying production sound doesn’t help much in achieving any gold medals for “listener-friendliness”! This is due to the fact that the material was recorded over a period of 6 years, I reckon.

A potential open-air band with tons of adrenaline to back that up!

If you’re into that modern Swedish glam scene then this is your thing!
