Inner Wish hails from Athens, Greece, the band was founded in 1995 by Thimios Krikos (guitar), Yiannis Papanikolaou (vocals), Manolis Tsigos (guitar), Pavlos Balatsoukas (drums) and Alexis Levenderis (bass), a few years later they recorded their debut album “Waiting for the Dawn”, which was released in 1998 by the Greek label NMC Music.

But soon after the vocalist, the bassist and the drummer left the band, they were replaced with Panagiotis Myolonas (vocals), Antonis Mazarakis (bass) and Fotis Giannakopoulos (drums), with this line up they released a split-CD with the Greek band Reflection called “Realms of the Night”. Before the next album there was more line up changes, out with the singer and the drummer and in with Terry Moros (drums) and Babis Alexandropoulos (vocals).

In 2004 Inner Wish released “Silent Faces” on the German label Limb Music Products and what a great album, it sounded like Riot (“Thundersteel & “The Privilege of Power” era) meets Fifth Angel. The new album “Inner Strength” kicks off where “Silent Faces” ends, with another dose of great US Metal meets Melodic Power Metal. Just take a listen to “Final Prophecy” or “Gates of Fire”. One of the best tracks is a cover version of Q5’s “Lonely Lady” from the legendary “Steel the Light” album.

“Inner Strength” is a must have for every US Metal or Power Metal freak out there.

Recommended tracks: All.
