Hate
Profile, founded in 1998 by Amon 418... and to me, very typical Black
Metal. I
must admit that I prefer the brutal and heavy riffs in Death Metal when
I’m in the mood for
extreme metal. Black Metal seems to go into one ear and out of the other. This
album by Hate Profile is an exception. I can actually find something
worth listening to on
this release. The production is surprising good but Hate Profile neither
re-defines the genre, nor they are setting any real accents, but still
they are okay to listen to. I discover a good melody now and then… but
don’t
worry… this is pure Black Metal and very gloomy and atmospheric. This is a quite ok CD with some promising songs and some less exciting ones. Visit www.hateprofile.net for further information. In my humble opinion this is worth checking out if you are into Black Metal. But then again… what the hell does a Death Metal freak know about Black Metal?? |
