This
is solid workmanship, nothing more nothing less! After the completion of
the last Section A album "Parallel Lives" Torben Enevoldsen
turned his attention to Fatal Force.
The
style on this album is a lot more melodic than we are used to from
Torben's hand and the inclusion of Mats Levén on vocals just adds to
excitement. The combination of Mats' excellent melodic vocals and
Torben's outstanding guitars is what makes this album good.
The
album is packed with lots of examples of Torben's outstanding guitar
skills, without going over the top and ending up being a show off album.
But somehow I do miss just this memorable chorus or song, all 10 songs
are solid but nothing stands out and leaves a mark. I miss the "WOW"
effect, having said that this is still a good album that fans of melodic
metal should look into...
The excellent cover art
work and the production, which was done by Torben Enevoldsen and Tommy
Hansen - gives the album another edge compared to so many other melodic
metal albums.
