A few weeks ago Frontiers Records re-released Fair Warning’s first two albums plus a concert DVD and now it’s time for a brand new album from this German Melodic Rock band. We are treated with 13 songs; one of them is a bonus track for the European market called “Still I Believe” and this new release is filled with a mix of AOR and Melodic Hard Rock.

I must admit that I usually find AOR too soft but there is first class Hard Rock to be found here as well and even the softer side of Fair Warning is a pleasant surprise. Unpretentious Melodic Rock music is what the guys offer us here. Very accessible and catchy, but never sappy.

It took me a few spins to get use to the softer tracks but songs like “Once Bitten, Twice Shy” and “Rainbow Eyes” and the bonus track “Still Believe” is AOR heaven. But my favourite tracks are “Don’t Keep me Waiting”, “The Way”, “Tell me Lies”, “In the Dark” and "Generation Jedi”. All first class Melodic Hard Rock songs that very well could appeal to both AOR and Hard Rock fans and even Metal fans.

All in all a nice and solid piece of work from this German band - the productions is alright and let’s see what they can come up with in the future.

Fair Warning has already announced their participation to some festivals throughout Europe including the second edition of the United Forces of Rock festival in Ludwigsburg in Germany. A full European tour is planned for late 2006 / early 2007.
