Rarely
have I seen promotional material with so many English mistakes, let alone with
so many attempts to make the music sound interesting and weird.
I
have to admit that this Italian crew’s odd blend of electronic sounds, goth
and prog metal is both weird and interesting. That said, I lack a red thread
through the album. I simply miss that indefinable something that becomes a
trademark and creates the groove in any really good band’s work. This is my
fifth spin of “Project X-Katon” and I still haven’t seen the light in
these guys: the 12 tracks all blend into one long mess, none stand out. You
have to rethink your concept, guys. Sorry.
