What
these 4 German's is doing in 51 minutes divided into 9 instrumental
songs are another fine example of 4 extremely talented musicians - they
are all 4 well-known studio and live musicians in pop and rock in
Germany - who have created an album for themselves, friends and other
musicians!
They
do all possess incredible technical skills, the band is very tight, and
they leave enough space for each one to shine on almost every song. They
serve brilliant leads on guitars (Marcus Nepomuc Deml), drums (Tom
Aeschbacher), bass (Frank Itt) and keyboards (Ralf Gutske) - and have
made an album, which will surely impress the Hell out of a lot of
musicians... but to metal and rock fans, who just want a cool melody, a
great chorus or even an angry growler, there really isn't much on offer
here.
I
salute them for making an extremely technical progressive instrumental
album, packed with twist and turns, breaks and great lead stuff. But
also an album that your "Mr. normal Metalhead" has no use for
what so ever!
If
you love technical progressive rock and don't mind if it's instrumental
then look no further... on the other hand if you hate such albums then
stay away from this one as well. I really don't know how to rate this
album, because just based on the skill-level this one belongs amongst
the best I've heard in a long time... but take a listen yourself and be
your own judge...
