5th studio album from Symphonic Epic Metal band Edenbridge and a fine one indeed. Since the year 2000 Edenbridge has delivered first class Symphonic Metal and now they are better than ever.

This brand new release titled “The Grand Design” is in my humble opinion the best album they have ever released. There is more of every thing… more Guitars, more melody and more Epic. It is enjoyable to listen to this bombastic release and in my opinion Edenbridge are doing a way better job than on “Shine” (2004).

Just take a listen to the two long Epics “Terra Nova” and the title track “The Grand Design” with huge and might choruses (up to 64 voices) and you know what I mean. Especially the title track “The Grand Design” is fantastic. This song has everything.

I would describe this song as; An Epic, Progressive, Bombastic, Symphonic, Classical, Metal song with a beautiful melody and a huge and very memorable chorus. I rather not go into details but this is a first class song that really shows Edenbridge’s huge potential.

Front lady Sabine Edelsbacher also matured; her voice is more expressive and intensive and her singing is more beautiful than ever. “The Grand Design” is produced by Lanvall and cover art work and booklet design is done by Thomas Ewerhard.

The limited Edition Digibook (Ecolbook) comes with an exclusive 20 page booklet and a bonus track called, “Empire of the Sun”.

Recommended tracks: “Terra Nova”, “On Top of the World” & “The Grand Design”.
