Demon
Pact was formed back in 1979, they released a single called “Eaten
Alive” in 1981 on their own label Slime Records, I think a 1000 copies
was released, a couple of years ago a bootleg version was released. Also
in 1981 they was featured on the legendary “Kent Rocks” compilation
with other great names such as Dervish,
Renegade and Raw Deal. Demon Pact disbanded in 1982, but drummer Iain Finlay later showed
up in German pirate band Running Wild on their “Death or Glory”
album.
This
new album consists of four demo tracks from 1982, the track “Escape”
was released on the “Kent Rock” album, the other three tracks have
never been released before. The album ends
with the two tracks from the “Eaten Alive” single.
The
music delivered by Demon Pact can be compared with the music from other
great N.W.O.B.H.M. bands such as Sparta, typical N.W.O.B.H.M. but with a
raw edge to it. Especially the track
“Escape” kicks serious ass.
Once
again High Roller and Hades Paradise are delivering the goods, like all
their previous releases this is a must have album, and once again it is
limited to 500 copies.
