With two sold out festivals in a row, expectations for next year’s COPENHELL are at a fever pitch. Rock and metal fans have waited with baited breath to hear who will perform at next year’s festival, and we are finally ready to announce the first 16 bands for COPENHELL 2018.

OZZY OSBOURNE gave a fantastic farewell concert together with Black Sabbath at COPENHELL in 2016 and will return in 2018 together with his own band and none less than the legendary guitarist Zakk Wylde! Expect a concert overflowing with huge metal classics like ‘I Don’t Know’, ‘No More Tears’, ‘Mr. Crowley’, ‘Crazy Train’, ‘Perry Mason’, ‘Mama, I’m Coming Home’ – and that very special live feel that only the Prince of Darkness creates!

Mighty HELLOWEEN, founders of German power metal, have also been summoned to COPENHELL 2018! They arrive with their spectacular ’Pumpkins United’ show with two of the band’s veteran members, lead singer Michael Kiske and guitarist Kai Hansen, on board together with the current line-up. Don’t miss this completely exclusive opportunity to experience one of Germany’s biggest metal bands in a historical concert with an extremely impressive setup with two lead singers and three guitarists!

With more than nine million albums sold internationally, Finnish NIGHTWISH has become a huge musical force and an important influence for many other metal bands. Their symphonic metal is carried by phenomenal songwriting and great melodies, creating a beautiful gothic world that will absorb the audience completely. We are proud to welcome one of the greatest Nordic metal successes ever to COPENHELL 2018!

Australian PARKWAY DRIVE returns to COPENHELL with their hard-hitting metalcore as a part of their ‘A Decade of Horizons’ tour. The band has spent most of 2017 recording a new album, which is rumoured to become even more aggressive and dirty than all of their earlier material, and they will bring a top-class stage show with them.

A true thrash tornado will ravage Copenhagen when KREATOR, EXODUS and SODOM deliver their unstoppable, immortal riffs. ARCH ENEMY returns with their technical death metal, while ASKING ALEXANDRIA and WHILE SHE SLEEPS will send the audience on a pit rage with their brutal metalcore.

ALESTORM is always a great party starter with their entertaining pirate music, the Norwegian metal kings from ENSLAVED are ready to perform their majestic metal, while the wild heathens from BERSÆRK and the new black metal group ORM are the first Danish bands on the poster.

In the extreme end, the new experimental black metal band ZEAL & ARDOR will give the audience an unforgettable evil experience, while the innovative music project IGORRR will suck everyone in to its dark, mad universe.

As a new feature this year, and by popular demand from our festival guests, an extra warm-up day on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 has been introduced – COPENHELL Camping opens on this day as well. The COPENHELL party will be kickstarted already at 16:00 on this day with the Biergarten party running at full speed and four bands on the Pandæmonium stage. Don’t miss this opportunity to get into the perfect COPENHELL mood the day before the festival! Please note: The warm-up day ticket must be purchased separately from the normal festival ticket.

COPENHELL has run at maximum capacity in 2016 og 2017, and we expect a wild party again in 2018. The audience count will be the same as in 2017, while we will focus on expanding the festival area to create even more space and exciting offers for the audience. The thunder from the north has resounded clearly in other countries in recent years, and more and more foreign rock and metal fans choose to visit COPENHELL every year. Therefore, we have, for the first time ever, made all camping  options as well as bus and boat trips from Sweden and Norway available straight from the beginning.

Tickets go on sale November 9, 10.00 AM via
