Germany-based guitarist, Nino Helfrich, is thrilled to announce the release of his second solo album “Hourglass”, available everywhere on September 1st. Helfrich breaks new ground on “Hourglass”, having worked with several guest musicians to add vocals to his shred-metal-music for the first time ever.
Björn Strid of the swedish Melodic-Death-Metal-Band Soilwork, Chris Clancy of the US/UK-based bands Mutinity Within and Wearing Scars, as well as Christoph Wieczorek of the German Metalcore Band Annisokay take over vocal dutys. While Helfrich produced and recorded the new album himself, Christoph Wieczorek of Sawdust Recordings was responsible for mixing and mastering.

Nino Helfrich Bio:
Hockey goalies truly are a breed of their own. Being individuals in a team sport, they are often labeled as weird and quirky. A special nature that worked well for Nino Helfrich, not only in sports but also in music. After dropping the hockey stick and picking up the guitar, Nino Helfrich reached a high technical level, thus being self- taught playing only for five years.
The release of his debut album “Dead Bodies In Motion” marked the beginning of his solo career in 2016. With his technical yet melodic instrumental music he’s in good company having worked with US-based guitar virtuoso Angel Vivaldi. On his second album “Hourglass” he does not only show his guitar playing skills but also his perfect ability on working in a Team. Therefore Helfrich worked with great Singers, Björn Strid of Soilwork, Chris Clancy of Mutinity Within and Wearing Scars, as well as Christoph Wieczorek of Annisokay
On June 3rd Nino Helfrich will support Ukrainian Metalheads Jinjer at Elfer Club Frankfurt, playing a special setlist with instrumental versions of the new album.
