I am sure you are a big unknown
to most of our readers so could you please introduce yourselves?
Stargazery / Jari: Hi, i guess you're right :) Well ... Pete, Marco, Jukka,
Jussi and i , we are Stargazery. Heavymetal players from Finland doing music we
love.
I used to be singer for Michael Schenker Group. I did the world tour with
Michael 2006-2007 and we supported " Tales Of Rock 'n' Roll " , 25th Anniversary
album of MSG . That was quite awesome!
For me it was the University of Rock !
Pete has two other bands called Burning Point and Ghost Machinery, you may know
them too. Marco is keyboard- wizard for Kalmah and Poisonblack and Jussi and
Jukka plays on Burning Point too.
We just released our debut album " Eye On The Sky " and feedback is awesome -
We're happy :)
"Eye on the Sky" is your debut album what can metal fans expect from it?
Stargazery / Jari; Melodic metal with high- energy presentation of riffs,
melodies and songs overall. Catchy songs that thrills you if you like bands like
Dio, Scorpions, Yngwie etc. But dont listen it too much , you may be hooked far
too soon :)
How happy are you with the final
result and what kind of expectations do you have for it?
Stargazery / Jari We're real happy how it sounds and songwriting was successful
and it came out from our hearts so... what you can do, its time to enjoy and do
bunch of shows to support it !

If you had to pick one song off
the album that represent the essence of Stargazery, which one would you pick and
why? Personally I would probably pick; Everytime I Dream of you.
Stargazery / Jari;
Hmmm... that is
the hard one but I choose......I Am The Night ! It shows every side of
Stargazerys passion to create catchy, powerful and sensitive song that serves us
the best possible way.
I like it a lot just like other babes from the album.
How has the reaction been so far?
Stargazery / Jari; Its been real nice. Looks like people are hungry for this
kind of music. Many icons of metal passed away lately so there's a lot of
concern that this kind of metal fades away. That is sad but we're carrying the
torch, at least we want to do and we definitely do our best !
Any story worth telling behind
your name?
Stargazery Jari; Well, it was Stargazer but we added Y into it , not really a
story :)
Does the
artwork has a special connection with any of the songs, and who made it?
Stargazery Jari; It was Pete and me, I was at home doing something and i
got this " Ship in the Space" - idea . I dont know where it came, it just came.
I mailed or called to Pete immediately and we processed it more. Pete knew the
guy who made it real. It is connected to Stargazery name. Stargazery is like a
flying observatory for the dreamers, Stargazers :) And our ship is Stargazery :)
Any touring plans for 2011?
Stargazery / Jari; Yes we have but first we do some shows in Finland and after
that we have to think something for the fans in Europe. Lets see.
If you could pick the ideal touring package, which bands would like to tour with
then…
Stargazery / Jari; I'm experienced to support Scorpions so that would be great
of course. Whitesnake, Judas Priest and Journey comes to my mind.
What does the words melodic metal
mean to you?
Stargazery / Jari; It is music with high quality songwriting skills. For me its
world music. Not just metal. Just like in classic rock, you need to reach
qualities to serve fans and yourself !
