1. Tell us about your release NY Blood. Are you satisfied with it? Has it been received well?
Vinnie: “Ny Blood” is an amazing record that I am so proud. We had so much fun putting this project together. Me and Jamey Jasta been talking about do a solo record for many years now. We finally got some time to get together and get in the studio to make this record. We had great fun from the start to finish. We had Phil Caivano from monster magnet helping us along with many others such as Mike Gallo my partner from Agnostic Front. Lorenzo from Sworn Enemy, Luke Rota from The Disasters and others to make this project possible. This CD is the story if my life. It's about growing up in NYC and the ups and downs of my life. The struggle and the glory. The music is real and so is the message. People are responding to it incredibly. People seem real shocked about how great this CD is! And our live show is just awesome. We put together a great band. No rock stars. just young guys from the neighbourhood who have been friends of ours for years. And who are hungry to play music.
2. Where do you see the main difference between AF and your solo project?
Vinnie: Well, AF is more aggressive and just straight up hardcore. With stigma we touch bases on all the musical influences I listen to and enjoy. It's a great blend of hardcore punk, country and just straight up street rock n roll.
3. What would you do, if you weren't able to compose music?
Vinnie: I'd probably be working some bullshit job or maybe tattooing. I own a Tattoo shop called NYHC Tattoos. I'm a working class type of guy that doesn't work cause I made music my life.
4. What lies ahead for you?
Vinnie: Well I plan on touring a lot to support the CD. I have a movie coming out in January called NY Blood. The movie won an award for best short horror film in the NY film festival. So I got a lot on my plate. We're in the process of writing a new stigma CD and I will be writing a new movie as well.
5. The world would have been a wretched place without these five albums:
Vinnie: Sex Pistols - Never Mind the Bollocks Agnostic Front - Victim in Pain Madball - Set it off The Bruisers – Crusin’ for a Brusin’ The Blitz - A Voice of a Generation
