This is an exclusive video premiere of the track ‘Mercury’ from the upcoming album Hybris.
Mercury is the second single taken from the debut concept album Hybris. It’s the final act of the first cycle and it rapresents a violent and unexpectd death. Mercury is based on a rhythmical pattern made by some words in Morse code, are you able to guess them and what happens in the fourth cycle?
Moebius were officially born in 2014. The band at that time was already working on the project of a concept album focused on math ideas, philosophy and ancient Greek drama themes. Moebius was choosen as band name due to the perfect match with the first structure ideas for the concept album Hybris and the Mo¨bius strip, made by the German mathematician and theoretical astronomer August Ferdinand Mo¨bius.
The sound of the band is strongly focused on rhythm and groove, influenced by Pantera and Rage against the machine at first, Meshuggah, Tool, Porcupine Tree and Mastodon after, leading to a new mix of power and melody.
The concept album Hybris is their first work. It has been mixed and mastered by Daniel Bergstrand (Meshuggah, Strapping Young Lad, Behemoth) and it will be released on October 20th 2017.
In July 2017 the band changed his singer Matteo Guida with the talented Andrea Orru`, and added also Andrea Palmas as second guitar.
Currently Moebius are ready to promote their debut album Hybris with live shows all over Europe.
