An EP so true to its black roots that even St. Patrick himself couldn’t drive out the darkness.   Drakonis remains atop the heap of death EP releases in the Northern Ireland scene.  With the release of  “The Great Miasma” set for December 1st, Hostile Media© showcases Drakonis‘ strenghts in shredding riffs, a constant barrage of base lines, vocals that slay and beats that will leave the listener with a sore neck in “The Great Miasma“.

The maturation process of Drokonis as a solid Death Metal instution beyond the visuals and showmanship is solidified for any doubters on this EP.  /raVen/

The Northern Ireland quintet complete their third EP in “The Great Misama“.  Listenters that are fans of Burzum will quickly fall in love with the title track The Great Miasma.   The inviting whispers of The Great Miasma elegantly mixes and ackowledges the theory and mythology associated with the ‘bad air’ or ‘great miasma’ during the pandemic of the Black Death.  Let Us Pray comes at the listener hard and heavy from the beginning.  The double kicks and tremolo drive the tempo as the base and lyrics set the tone.  Queen of Swarms bring darkness to a whole new level with a seven minute and forty six second barrage of lyrical mastery and artistic expression.

The maturation process of Drokonis as a solid Death Metal instution should be noted and acknowledged beyond the visuals and showmanship. /raVen/

The maturation process of Drokonis as a solid Death Metal instution should be noted and acknowledged beyond the visuals.  Known more for their live shows and showmanship Drakonis has delivered with “The Great Miasma” raising the bar on what to expect from them in the very near future. When any Death Metal band is looking at a blue print on how to introduce themselves to the masses they need not look any further than Drakonis!
