RATING:

Starting fast with  singing lines in early Slayer style, Swedish Defiatory shows immediately where they stand for. ‘Dance Of the Dead follows with galopping riffs in Bay Area style and influences of bands such as Exodus and Testament follow.

‘Morning Star’ is the first track that is a bit different. It is slower, more melodic and reminding me sometimes of Megadeth. The bit modern touch the band adds to the Bay Area style will be very liked by fans of Dew Scented, The Haunted, Evile and Darkane fans too. In fact the mix of Bay Area and some groove does make this a very pleasant album to listen to. There isn’t a weak song and enough variation in melody and tempo not to be boring.

Another new thrash band besides Suicidal Angels and Angelus Apatrida interesting enough to spend some time on.

Once a metal head, always a metalhead. My parents thought it would only be a period, but they were wrong. I quit to explain the beauty of metal music to others that are not into metal, because it is something you can't tell in words... It is like explaining to a teetotaller why a cold beer is so nice on a hot day... I started with bands like Accept, Metal Church, Iron Maiden and Metallica in the eighties and I think I will still listen to them when I'm stone deaf and old...
